The culminating Applied Doctoral Project becomes a personal contribution to the field of practice and of scholarship. The purpose of the Dissertation is to ensure that the student has mastered the ability to pursue a systematic investigation, which examines significant issues or problems in applied psychology. The Dissertation requirement is also designed to contribute to the student’s knowledge, skills, and research expertise in psychology. Students choose a topic that addresses carefully chosen research questions that the student then investigates with quantitative or qualitative research, with a meta-analysis, or with a program design or program evaluation. Students will be expected to participate in two synchronous meetings.

Financial Aid & Scholarships

The University requires all first- and second-year undergraduate students to live in campus housing. Exceptions to this policy are limited to students who reside with a parent, legal guardian or spouse; are 21 years of age or older; or present other documented extenuating circumstances. The Admissions Office will determine a student’s residency status upon admission to the University. No student shall be permitted to receive any degree, certificate or transcript of record until the student’s financial account with the University has been settled. Earn Your Bachelor And Master’s Degree In Five Years

A student billed flat-rate tuition who drops a course within a semester, yet remains enrolled for the semester, may be entitled to a refund following the calendar under two scenarios. If the total course load remaining is below the flat-rate tuition minimum credit load , then an applicable refund will calculate. Or, if prior to dropping the course, the student’s course load was greater than the flat-tuition maximum credit load , an applicable refund will calculate.

Dissertation and Applied Doctoral Project courses for students enrolled online are supplemented by an online classroom environment where students are expected to actively participate. The standard Online Course Attendance Policy applies for Dissertation and Applied Doctoral Project courses. Each instructional week begins on a Tuesday and concludes on the following Monday.
